People - development programs

Introduction

A common thread among the people at CSR is the desire to grow and learn so as to improve their own and the company’s performance.  A wide variety of resources are available for individuals who wish to improve or expand their skills and knowledge.

We provide a comprehensive range of internal training opportunities and assist our people to find external training courses, higher education and other educational opportunities that help them to reach their personal goals and CSR’s goals.  Employees are encouraged to seek learning opportunities in their daily interactions with colleagues at all levels.

Types of development programs

Performance review system.  Each year, based on performance and competency assessment, CSR people have an individual plan for development, which may include on-the-job development, coaching, or participation in training courses.

Leadership development programs.  A broad range of leadership training is available for people who have the potential to advance in the company or for those who are in management positions and require a deeper understanding of leadership and management practices.  These include strategic, financial and marketing skills.

Sales training.  Our extensive sales force frequently refocus their account management, sales management, activity planning and time management skills.  They also undertake product training to ensure that they can continuously meet our customer’s needs.

Functional skills.  No matter what function you perform CSR develops the professional and technical skills needed to keep you at “best in industry” levels.

Succession planning.  CSR Managers ensure that each employee has the opportunity to be promoted should they display the willingness and ability.  Specific development plans are designed for people with high potential.
