We are always searching for people with a high level of technical/professional skill in functions such as those listed in People – recruitment and career development, which need to be complemented by the following competencies:

 

Planning and innovation  (The ability to think and plan ahead and to creatively meet future business challenges.  In senior management positions this is defined as developing strategy)

 

Personal effectiveness  (The ability to get things done ie achieve results, manage the execution of plans)

 

Leadership  (The ability to achieve successful commercial results through people)

 

Working with people  (The ability to work with others, peers, senior managers, people in other work units etc to achieve collaborative results)

 

Commercial orientation  (Understanding the financial impact of decisions and being able to capture financial advantage)

 

Customer focus  (The ability to understand and satisfy customers needs.  This applies to both customers outside the company who buy our products and services and customers inside the company)

 

Safety, health and environment  (Every employee is responsible for ensuring that every CSR site is a safe and healthy place to work and that we comply with environmental laws)
