The Grange Lifestyle Village

Contemporary and timeless Monier Horizon profile conveys a sleek, flat, 'shingle like' look to a large scale retirement village.

The Grange Lifestyle Village is an exciting large-scale residential development in Wagga Wagga, NSW that involves the building of 180 homes for over 55s. It incorporates many wonderful lifestyle features for its residents, and makes use of the very latest in building technology and ideas.

The project was in the pipeline for many years with the developers, Nash Bros Builders of Wagga Wagga, before building commenced in 2010. It is currently about half way through to completion, with 90 homes complete.

When it came to roofing for the 180 homes, Nash Bros turned to local Bricks & Roofing Specialists - Wagga Bricks & Roofing. They had worked with them before on large scale projects and had been happy with the results.

Nash Bros were after a contemporary California bungalow style with the houses and through consultation with Wagga Bricks & Roofing decided on the Monier Horizon profile because of its sleek, flat, 'shingle like' look. The Horizon is a profile that won't date, as it has a look that is both contemporary and timeless. It also is available in a palette of 14 inspirational colours, which meant homeowners at The Grange had a great selection to choose from when purchasing their homes.

Each year Master Builders Australia acknowledges excellence in the building and construction industry through its prestigious National Excellence in Building and Construction Awards. The quality development at The Grange Lifestyle Village resulted in Nash Bros being nominated for and winning the 2014 Department of Social Services National Lifestyle Housing for Seniors Award–Purpose Built Detached Dwelling. This award recognises the building industry's significant role in developing innovative housing options for older Australians. The Awards were presented at Parliament House in Canberra on 21 November 2014.
