Blue September is the Prostate Cancer Foundation’s national awareness campaign.
Every year around 600 men die in New Zealand of prostate cancer. That is more than 600 fathers, sons, brothers, grandfathers – gone! This happens because men don’t know how dangerous the disease is, they don’t talk to their doctor about it, they simply don’t do anything about it.
Viridian New Zealand got behind the cause to support and promote Prostate Cancer awareness by holding a dress-up day on 29 September. Prostate cancer information was shared at tool box meetings, with many of the guys subsequently visiting their doctor for a check- up (blood test).
Much fun was had by all for a great cause.
Best individual was awarded to Bish Lawrence, Auckland Despatch Supervisor. Best team awarded to Wellington Installations and Nelson Branch.
