Fireplaces became a major talking point on The Block this week. The teams worked through the many compliance requirements needed to successfully incorporate them into their living, dining and alfresco spaces.

While the fireplaces were the standout, it’s important to think about the performance products that create a strong foundation for great design. Across the homes, products such as Hebel PowerFloor® helped provide a solid flooring platform, while Cemintel Constructafloor® was used in balcony and alfresco areas where durability and performance are essential. Inside, Gyprock Plus® and Gyprock Supaceil® contributed to creating smooth wall and ceiling finishes, helping the teams bring their visions to fruition.

Comfort and energy efficiency also play an important role in modern homes. Throughout the builds, Bradford Gold® insulation was installed in walls and ceilings, complemented by Bradford Anticon® Tuff for added roof insulation and Bradford Enviroseal® Wall Wrap for moisture management.

Adam & Jolene took out the win by maximising their spectacular views and creating a space that felt both functional and inviting. Close behind were Lisa & Rosco, whose ability to tackle challenges throughout the week resulted in a strong and cohesive living area.

As the competition heats up, it's a reminder that delivering exceptional spaces comes from careful project management, quality workmanship and choosing building products that help bring ambitious designs to life.
