To kick start the new year, employees from CSR’s lightweight systems division based at Yarraville, Victoria got involved in a locally organised fun run event, “Run for Hope”.

 They saw it as a great opportunity to get together as a team, while at the same time supporting families, friends and communities through two important charities. Run for Hope 2018 raised funds for “Pink Hope”, a charity that supports women and families with hereditary breast and ovarian cancer, and “beyondblue” an organisation who provides information and support to help people achieve their best possible mental health.

The event had a 5km walk / run, or a 10km run which gave team members some options. Event day, Sunday 18 February was a stunning day, Melbourne really put the weather on. The team met up for some “before shots”, team encouragement and most importantly, some warm-up stretches. They set off at their own paces but hung around after the event to cheer each other over the finish line. It was a great day for all, and they are looking out for our next challenge.
