John Gillam appointed as a non executive director
CSR Limited (CSR) announced today that John Gillam has been appointed to the board as a non-executive director, effective 14 December 2017.

Mr Gillam was the Managing Director of Bunnings in Australia and New Zealand from 2004 to early 2016 and of the expanded Bunnings Group, until December 2016.

Mr Gillam joined Wesfarmers Limited in 1997 and held a number of senior leadership roles in the company over the past 20 years.

In welcoming Mr Gillam to the CSR board, CSR Chairman Jeremy Sutcliffe said, “John is an exceptional businessman who led Bunnings as it grew to become Australia’s leading retailer of home improvement products and a major supplier to builders and commercial tradespeople, with revenue of $11.6 billion in 2016. He will be a tremendous addition to the CSR Board.”

Mr Gillam is also a director of the Clontarf Foundation, the Heartwell Foundation and Ruyton Girls School.

Mr Gillam will become a member of CSR’s Risk & Audit and Remuneration & Human Resources Committees.  He will stand for election to the board at CSR’s next Annual General Meeting in June 2018.
